In addition to the main Lodge and the Hermitage, ARC has another space
for guests which we call the "Cottage". This two and 1/2 story log home
has a separate apartment on the lower level. The upper portion (with a
separate entrance) is a complete home with one bedroom on the main floor
and a loft bedroom.
There is a large living room with an A-frame window wall looking out
over the woods (with the Brook below), a gas fireplace, a fully equipped
kitchen, bathroom, bedroom with double bed, walk-up loft with double
futon, and a deck porch.
It is an ideal place for an individual, a couple or two, a family, or a
small group of friends to stay. The living room comfortably seats at
least ten so it may also be used for day groups. The space has been
furnished and decorated in a lovely, woodsy way by friends of ARC using
comfortable couches, antiques, handmade quilts, and cozy touches. Guests
may "dine in or carry out" --that is, they may bring their own food, eat
in the main Lodge or pick up a basket.
