ARC Retreats

ARC offers three types of retreats:  Guided, Private, and Group.  Guided retreats have a particular theme and are open to the public.  Private retreats are for individuals, families, or friends who wish to structure their own time at ARC.  Group retreats are hosted by ARC but are led by leadership from the group.  In all cases, contact us by phone (763-689-3540) or email (arcretreat@hotmail.com) to arrange your stay.

GUIDED RETREATS
We do not have any guided retreats on our calendar at this time, but check back soon for new offerings.  See below for additional retreat themes that we offer to groups upon request.

PRIVATE RETREATS
Need time for renewal? Private retreats can be for any length of stay as space is available. You can enjoy resting, reading, walking, skiing, or simply sitting by the fireplace and looking out the huge living room window. Choose from three different buildings on the ARC grounds. The Lodge has fifteen private rooms with shared baths, a dining room, living room, library, screened-in porch, two fireplaces, and several smaller sitting areas. The Cottage is our newest space: a cozy home available to individuals, couples, or small groups, with a living room, full kitchen, bedroom, bath, and a loft bedroom. The Hermitage, a single-person dwelling in the woods, lends itself to a more solitary retreat in which one may enter into the emptiness of isolation and silence to be encountered by God.  For more information about each of these spaces, visit their individual pages on this website.

GROUP RETREATS
Many groups have come to ARC year after year to lead their own retreats.  Groups bring their own participants and agenda, and we provide the hospitality.  If your group is looking for a quiet, natural environment in which to plan, pray, reflect, rejuvenate, relax, explore, grow, or be inspired, ARC may be just the right place for you.

"GIVE THE GIFT OF RETREAT"
Give the Gift of a Retreat Scholarship (or Gift Certificate) to Someone Who Really Needs It!
A recurring concern of the ARC Board and Community is how to make retreating accessible to people who may not be able to afford it. We have always offered scholarship assistance upon request but our funds have been limited and, perhaps, have not reached the people most in need.

Consequently, we have started a program called A Gifted Retreat. We invite you to send ARC a donation to cover the cost of one or more 24-hour retreats. We will in turn pass a gift certificate on to people who can identify someone who would most benefit by it. For example, we might give the certificate to a pastor, therapist, group leader, or to an organization such as the Center for Victims of Torture, Minnesota Aids Project or Chrysalis Center for Women and they would then give it to a single parent, struggling client, recent immigrant, victim of domestic violence, and so on.

Feel free to let us know if you’d like your gift to go to a specific church or organization. You may use the response form on the Contact ARC page. Know that your gift will be greatly appreciated by the recipient.
